ATTENTION: IMPORTANT UPDATE
Dear North Star Arms Chapter Members,
We are writing to inform you of an important safety directive regarding the SIG Sauer M18 Modular Handgun System (MHS).
Effective immediately, the M18 handgun will not be permitted at any North Star Arms-sanctioned range events—both indoor and outdoor—until further notice. This decision follows a recent directive from the United States Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), which has paused all operational and training use of the M18 due to an active safety investigation stemming from an incident at F.E. Warren AFB.
What This Means for You:
If you currently own or carry the M18, please do not bring it to any upcoming North Star range events.
We recommend reaching out directly to SIG Sauer or your point of purchase for any updates, safety advisories, or inspection protocols.
Alternative firearms that meet North Star event safety standards are welcome for use in the interim.
We will provide further updates as more information becomes available and safety measures are confirmed by the appropriate authorities.
